When you first start working with images and text, you might think they’re like oil and water—no matter how hard you try to combine them, they just never seem to work the way you want.
For instance, if you insert an image between paragraphs, you’ll notice that the image pushes the text further down the page, leaving some unattractive white space.

A more appealing design would have the text wrap around the picture, minimizing the amount of empty space. To adjust the image’s alignment, click on the image and go to the image “Properties” panel.

Select how you’d like to align your image by choosing an option from the “Align” drop down menu. The most commonly used options are “right” and “left.” Choosing one of these options will align the image accordingly and text will wrap around the image.
The only problem is that the text will align right up against the image, making words along the image’s edge difficult to read. To create space between the image and the text you need to work with the “V Space” and “H Space” controls, which are located on the “Properties” panel.
“V Space” refers to the vertical distance from the image to text, measured in pixels. “H Space” is the horizontal distance. Try playing around with different values until you get your desired look, though ten pixels is a good number to start with.
